Where in OSX can you see how fast you are actually connected via WiFi? I know how to use Activity Monitor to see peaks of traffic, but I want to see how fast it is actually connected. When I boot camp to windows I can see that I am connected at 130MB/S, but it drops back and forth all the way down to 13MB/S. I store all my media on Time Capsule and I have just recently connected via WiFi.

I think there may be an issue with my wireless card in the iMac since TC sits about 3 feet from iMac. This is just based on the windows session, but if windows shows an excellent signal, but transfer rates fluctuates this much, I think there is an issue.

Hold down the Option Key and click on the Airport Icon in the Menu Bar.
