Maybe ....
I doubt that Apple will sell the iPad Pro 12.9-inch with something stronger than the base M2 chip.
They should sell it now like they are doing it with the MacBook Air M2.

I half think we might see an almost invisible update this year with the M2 added to the iPad Pro and little else ahead of a full re-launch next year including the rumoured larger screen model.

They've literally only made the tools available to developers on Monday to take advantage of iPadOS 16 and the new features - its going to take a long time for that to filter through

well the larger 14.1 isn't expected until 2023. which suggests to me that we may not see any iPad Pro updates this year unless they just update 12.9 and 11 inch in October and 14.1 in early 2023.
I can see them refreshing the 11" and 12.9" this Fall, so they can separately release the 14.1" next year (maybe with an M2 Pro inside). That way, consumers won't have to choose between three types of Pros all at once.

But I could also see Apple only releasing the 10th gen iPad this Fall, and saving all three Pros for early next year, so they don't fragment the Pros.
