So here we go again. I need to change the password on a website I frequent -- which is something I've done numerous times, but not in recent months.

So I go to "Settings" and it's not there. Under "General" there is "Auto Fill and Passwords" but there's no access to the password list. Under "Touch ID and Passcode" there is no list either. Nothing under "Privacy and Security" either.

What is going on?

Assuming you've updated to iOS 18, Passwords have been removed from Settings, and are now a separate app.

Look for an app with this icon:

Ok thanks. I assume the nerds at Apple had nothing better to do that day. What else is new?

"Hey, let's move this over there, so it appears that we're actually working."

In this case, it is an improvement, in my opinion.

FWIW also, if you are on the website and you go through the change password, this new password keeper should handle it, no problem. So far, I've been pleased.

It might be an improvement IF THEY TOLD US ABOUT IT, but that never happens with anything having to do with computers/websites, etc. I've been messing with these things since 1992 and the nerd behavior hasn't changed.

Okay, new problem. I swear I'm never going to change any passwords again. Nearly every time I do, it never works out right. I have the phone and this Windows laptop I'm using now. I changed the Reddit PW on my LT, although it took a while to get that straightened out.

So now to the phone which is a mess. It didn't really let me changed the PW, it kept taking me in circles. I ended up removing the app, then the PW, then got a new app. But it won't let me enter my existing name and password. After nearly smashing the thing this pops up AND I CANNOT GET RID OF IT.

I rebooted, still there. It messed up my entire screen and it won't budge. Press/click/whatever, it won't move or shrink back down.

I'm not sure what that is. Is it a widget?

If you edit the home screen (press on the display) does it wiggle and show a delete symbol next to it, along with the other app icons? Alternately, you could press directly on it and perhaps you will see a drop down menu of options, including Remove Stack.

As far as the password keep, I knew about it from the tech press ahead of release. I don't suppose the device showed it as what's new after install, but I don't recall.

No ideas about the other issues. For me, I tend to use Safari any time I'm setting up a new account or changing login credentials an existing account. The changes are always captured by the password keeper. I have also edited credentials directly in the password keeper, no issues.

I got rid of the gigantic icon late last night, not even sure how I did it. Also got my Reddit password through, not sure why that decided to work after the zillionth attempt either.
