I can't find the News app after upgrading to Catalina.
Also, can't find it in the App Store. Where could the app go?
Thanks.

News comes with OS install, so, not in Mac App Store.

When you say can't find it, not in the dock AND /Applications?

Might try re-installing Catalina: will keeping existing files, settings in place, but will overlay missing pieces.

Or, wild guess, maybe tied to region/country settings (ie. country that does not have Apple News)? But guessing should still be able to see it in /Applications even if region does not have News.

Thanks for the response.
Yeah, I mean I can‘t find it in the dock or application. Even tried to search for it and nothing came up.
You were right. The region was set to something that is not the U.S. (don‘t remember doing that).
I set it back to United States and restarted the computer and was able to find it!
For some reason it‘s still not in the launch pad.

I originally did a clean install. Would it be possible to reinstall Catalina now and still keeping the docs on the computer?
Thanks Again.

Yes, as long as you do not do any reformatting of the drive. Just do a simple install via the installer (Install MacOS Catalina.app).

But as always, make sure you have a backup/TimeMachine ready to go if stuff happens.
