I recently bought the new MBA (M1) and completed an iPhone backup using Finder.

But I'm curious - where can I find that saved backup? I did find my older backups (I did a full TM restore from my MBP to my MBA, so those came over) using this step (see below), but I don't see my current backup so I'm assuming it's stored in another location but not sure where that is, despite google searches.

~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup

Any insight would be appreciated.

~/Library/Application Support/Mobile Sync/Backup is the correct location for me in Big Sur.

Looks like you accidentally typed the location incorrectly.
It was a direct copy/paste...

When I use your path, it only gives me Internet search results (see below).

Could it be different because I migrated from High Sierra?

It looks like HS stored backups in the same place.

Are you sure the backup is completing each time?
Even if it were different places, your path should be working because I did one tonight on Big Sur direct. I'll try again, and see what happens. As far as I could tell, it went through fine, but stay tuned lol.

It's weird - I found the backup - but the "Created" date on the folder was from February 2020, but the Modified date was today's date and time of my backup (Let's say Dec 18 6pm). So I did another backup and it just copied over top the other one, so the "Created" date was still February 2020 but with an updated "Modified" time of Dec 18 10:30pm..

So I deleted the folder, and re-did the backup, and now both the Created and Modified date are today's current date/time.

And also, I can only pull up the folder if this is typed in Spotlight - ~/Library/Application Support/Mobile

Once I have more than that, it only gives me Internet searches..

But other than that, all is good :)
