Where do I find OSX license numbers?

MSFT just announced that they have sold over 600 million Windows 7 licenses since it launched in 2009. This got me thinking, what does Apple's stat look like for OSX?

Does anyone know where I can find a figure for how many copies of OSX have sold since it was first launched? Preferably broken down into how many sales per version, but anything is good.

To my knowledge apple doesn't really release those numbers. I recall that they did say when Lion reached a million but other then that they stay quiet
