I'd like to move some of my files from DropBox over to iCloud, but I have no idea where to move them on my MBP.

Where do I send my files so that they sync with all my Apple electronics?

Thanks!

I am wondering the same thing. Does icloud have a version or application like idisk? I read that idisk is going away, this blows, because I use it every day.

documents in the cloud are implemented by the developer of the particular app. in keeping with apples belief that the user shouldn't need to manage files, but the application should.

so when developers update their app, cloud syncing should work seamlessly between the app on all your devices.

for now i think you cant store microsoft files and i know nothing of pdf files but when you go into the documents section it wants you to purchase the ios version of iwork and then it will store documents. i think the whole thing was incredibly misleading by apple

Big time. To me, DropBox is still superior, heck, even the file thing that apple had was better.

I thought we could just drag and drop files like Dropbox.

I've gone off it, and switching to SkyDrive.

I just wanted somewhere to store my files, but without an iOS device or Lion it's just gonna be too much of a hassle.

I don't think I misinterpreted what iCloud was gonna be, just that I thought the basic file retention would be something in the background, hidden behind all the sync tools and what not, and not something that would require additional/third party apps to make it work.
