I have att, when I had sprint and used a non iPhone years back, I would travel overseas and when I came back to the states my phone would push through tons of texts I got while I was gone.

Since I have had att, whenever I go overseas or even if I get an apple store replacement phone or whatever, the timespan in which my phone is basically off, I never get any of my missing text, I even tried this as an experiment yesterday. Apple replaced my 6 plus yesterday, as it was restoring from backup, I sent a text from my sisters 5s on att to my 6 plus, her phone didn't show delivered but showed "sent as text message" but I never ever got that text and I am sure in the six hour span my phone was off I missed quiet a bit of text.

Anyone else have a remedy to this?

Have you contacted AT&T to see what they have to say about it?

After a certain amount of time the Texts are dropped.
What good is a weeks long text message anyway.
I'm not sure on the exact time it takes but I heard that after a while they get undeliverable and lost in the matrix.

Same situation and same problem. After returning from two weeks in Mexico and turning my phone back on, only messages from that day appeared. ATT said they only hold them for seventy hours, then if not downloaded they are not sent.
