Does anyone know where my downloads from iTunes video are downloaded to on my hard drive? And can I view them with another player other than iTunes?

They should be in your iTunes folder, with all of your music. And I believe that since iTunes videos are protected files, only iTunes can be used to view them.

They can be viewed with Quicktime also..

If you have the default set for iTunes.Open Finder, click on music, double click on iTunes then double click on iTunes Music. There you will see the folders of all the music/videos you have purchased.

Yes, Quicktime can play them as well (because that's what iTunes uses, and I think any other app based on QT can play it as well (the other iApps, and maybe third-party ones too)
