Where do you guys think these things will ship from?

I'm wondering if they are already in the US (for those of us ordering in the US). With the phones and watches that always originate in China at first we see orders changing to preparing to ship about 7 days ahead of actual delivery. I'm figuring it's going to take a few days before the release day iPads to get to that stage (Thursday or Friday is when I'm speculating).

So with deliveries on Wednesday I am kind of thinking that the initial supply is already in the US, otherwise it's a pretty tight timeline especially with all of the inevitable customs delays that we see all the time with watches and phones. Also have to remember that you can't get nearly as many iPads on a plane as you can watches and phones.

Just food for though...and of course the next part of the fun...speculating when these things ship and following their progress as they get closer.

After thinking about it a bit more I realized that I had my timeline off a bit. Usually with watches and phones (that always originate from China for launch) orders are placed on Friday morning and we start to see orders preparing to ship Saturday.

So my guess that we won’t see these preparing to ship until Thursday or Friday should have been Wednesday instead. So if we see people’s orders change to preparing to ship today we very well might see our orders originating from China. If not today and it doesn’t happen for another day or two then I believe there is a better chance that the iPads are already in the US.

Does anyone know the typical UPS flights that carry iPads?
