Where is a good place to download the 3.0 update for the original iPhone?

Thanks in advance.

could you please post a direct link, because itunes will only let me download 3.0.1 since it is the latest version.

Well, first, you might check to see if you already have it -- if you applied it previously with that computer, it may be on your computer already (I needed it just yesterday to redsn0w 3.0.1, because it won't confirm the 3.0.1 firmware but works using the 3.0). This article shows where to find it, depending on your OS.

That failing, try this...

I've already checked if it is on this computer. But it isn't because this is a new macbook and I originally did the update on my old macbook which I no longer have, and the link that you gave leads to a iPhone 3G update.

U can also just find tutorials on youtube and chances are they will give you a link to download the firmware ipsw file.
