Where is all the info?

Why hasn't Apple released any of the details on the smaller things on the iPhone yet?

What does the packaging look like?
Where is the info on the bluetooth headset?
The dock?
What accessories are included?
The mystery app...
etc, etc.

The release is only about a week away! I'm sure Apple would want to show off the accessories they'll make and such. I'm also guessing that it's too late for them to send out invitations to a keynote next week..?

It IS Apple, remember the whole "only a few people knew about the iphone" and "people couldnt even tell their families" stuff? They're probably doing all of that until possibly a few days before, and I HIGHLY doubt anyone will see any packaging, the dock, mystery app, and accessories even until possibly the day of/day before the phone's released. Seems like they are keeping EVERYthing undercover until it is launched. It took MONTHS just for them to release updated specs of the battery life and what the screen is made of!!!
 
They're gonna keep building anticipation until the last moment. (evidenced by this very thread :) ) Except for some management, stores won't have all the details until just days before.

Yeah, because then they start releasing those details like what AT&T managers have been doing...
 
Hey guys I work in an COR at&t store and have been with the company for 2yrs, I am extremely product knowledgeable (I'm the "data geek" of my store) and I can honestly tell you that we are being told nothing on the retail level. Everything is extremely hush hush... we are going to a training on June 27 and 28th for the iphone... until then, we retail reps know nothing official outside of rumors....

Haha, finally. Proof that the AT&T store employees know nothing, and are just making stuff up when you ask them about the iPhone.

See, this coming from a person who claims to work at an AT&T store, and from all we know this is true, and they know nothing. So the next thread I see that says "New info about plan" I will be so upset, I'll read it, think about commenting and go on to the next thread. In other words. Patience. 10 Days is not that long.

Hahahaha if I were an AT&T employee, I would so give bogus information on purpose just so that the people that come in everyday to constantly ask about it would shut up.

"Ohhh man, I'm glad you came today, I heard from my manager that the iPhone is actually gonna be released 2 days early, but news on the internet is spreading, so your best bet is to camp out the night before"
 
no sense in causing more hysteria... hopefully there's gonna be enough of that on the 29th... and of course I signed up on this site with false info. If we get caught commenting on rumors or leaking any info we can get canned...
 
I think the ONLY reason Apple released the information it just did, was because that made the two largest issues of the iPhone (battery life, and scratches) a non-issue. They probably didn't even want to release that. I think the day of the release online, and possibly on in-store posters, displays, etc. We'll find out all the details. Its annoying, but makes things kinda fun :D
