This is driving me insane. I have multiple files (thousands) that have this problem.
One one file, for example, in finder, the created date shows `May 4th, 2013 at 2:31PM`. When I run exiftool on that file, there is no evidence of that date anywhere in the metadata for the file. The created date in the metadata shows as 2014:12:31 at 3:05:56 PM.
When I import this file into Lightroom, it is moved into the corresponding folder for the actual date in the exif data, which is what I would expect.
The problem is that Finder is making me doubt when the file was actually created. What is causing this and how can it be resolved?
