So does it seem that the public betas are about 2 days behind the developer betas at this point? I feel like initially they were only 1 day behind. That's annoying.

Apple releases them when they are ready. There's really no set expectation. They used to not even come for every developer beta, or can come days later, or a day later, or the same day as a developer beta.

I don't think Apple has released any software that is ready in the last 3 years

Developer beta 2 has a nasty Bluetooth bug where a number of popular devices fail to connect. So don't be in a rush if you depend on Bluetooth.

Are you assuming they found out the Bluetooth bug and delayed release of the public beta 2? For what? It's a beta after all, are you saying they will fix the beta 2 and release a different version of it for the public?

No, it's my assumption that they didn't release it because of the bug. I'm sure Apple is aware of it.

Same thing happened to PB1 due to the stuck installer bug (it came out 2 days later, along with the 1.1 version of the dev beta. That's why I'm happy that Apple waits on releasing the public betas until after its sure the dev betas are ok.

It doesn't mean there was/is a bug preventing the release of the Public Beta 2. It's quite common that Apple releases DP Monday/Tuesday and PB Wednesday/Thursday. They have released both the same day but split up how I mentioned is more common of how they've done it.

it will be here when it gets here. There's no guarantee that the public beta releases will be 1 for 1 with the developer previews...

OR... it will be here when it gets here because Apple discovered an issue to be addressed prior to the release...
