Have they not released it yet? Why would iwork 09 be available if keynote remote is not in the app store?

It's out. I have it. I like you believe that their release of iWork '09 hinges on an App Store app for a product that only a very small percentage of Apple owners have; the iPhone or iPod touch.

It's in the App Store in the featured category within the New section. It should be at the top left (at least this is where it was for me).

Uh?

The actual Keynote icon with a play arrow? How is that not "very Apple like" ?

Because it looks nothing like the style used by all of the other Apple icons on the phone. It's actually pretty amateurish looking (not the keynote icon inside the phone icon, but the phone icon as a whole).

It just looks a bit like a crappy 3rd party seller made the icon. Look at the native icons plus the Remote and Texas Hold'em icons. They look professional and nicely done.
I don't know, maybe its just me.

That was the very first thing I noticed when I opened up the page in iTunes. That icon literally took someone 30 seconds to make, given that the keynote icon was already prepared.

The hinging is what I was getting at. :D

It's not small-small. 13+ million iPhones and several million iPod touches... but there again, they're not all OS X users.

Not only that, but I wonder how many iPhone/Touch owners have iWork on their computer? I would have thought that there were more iPhone/Touch owners than iWork owners.

The problem with this app is that you need to have both your Mac and your iPhone on the same Wi-Fi network for it to work. Sometimes I have to give a presentation where I am restricted from getting on their Wi-Fi network or it is a big pain to get on it. Why couldn't they just use bluetooth?

Wow, people have bitched about the keynote so much, that now everyone is down to pissing and moaning about how bad an ICON LOOKS.

If only the worst things in the world were as terrible as bad icon design.

I'm looking forward to using this...anyone want to post some reviews in here if they upgrade to iWork '09?
