I got the letter how long ago?

After all this I was a bit bummed that All I got was 30 days... and now I haven't even got that! WTF apple?! where did your support and quality control go? My account ends in about a week and I have serious doubts I will ever become a "mobileme" customer, I have been treated like crap.

Does everyone else have their 30 days??

If it makes you feel any better, I didn't even get the letter telling me I'd have an extra 30 days added. I'm guessing it was one of the emails that didn't get through to me while my MobileMe was acting up. :)

Duff-Man says....calm down, you've not been "treated like crap." The letter was sent out on July 16th and said:
Your extension will be reflected in your account settings within the next few weeks.

Where I come from "few" normally means more than two so the fact that they've not gotten to your extension yet is not unusual - I've not seen mine yet either.

Now, since yours is about to expire perhaps you may want to call Apple support and see if they can get your extension update reflected into your account. If you are not going to continue anyway then what's the difference...just forget about it. If you *are* going to renew then just do it - it should not affect your eligibility for the free 30 day extension....oh yeah!

I never even got the letter. But anyways, Apple's Online Support Chat told me I wouldn't get the extension till a month or two before my account was set to expire. They said they are rolling it out to people who's accounts are about to expire, and with "millions of subscribers" it will take a long time.

haha ya I was a bit heated earlier I just keep getting screwed by apple lately(more then Mobile me) and its pissing me off. Sorry for the heat It was just going to be a question if anyone else is missing theirs but after having so much trouble with their support online and on the phone I was getting mad and resulted in this post.

I am a college student and have very little income so I was banking on the 30 they give you to get things in order and then the extra 30 I was given with the letter to save up more $. Food is first on my list :p . so getting this extra 30 days mean alot to me.

While mine expires in I think 8 days. so I really want apple to at least talk to me. No luck with the chat and the phone was no help at all.:(

Don't take this too much in the wrong way but as a person who has a lot of financial responsibility (ME) and can only afford an iMac plus my .Mac subscription it bugs me to see a college student pretend to be poor when it comes to the MobileMe subscription (that you can get off Amazon for around $70.00) when your signature shows that you've got a Macbook Pro, iPod Nano and a $900+ Canon camera.
This poor college student stuff gets really tired, people that have families to support and mortgages have to hold onto cash for food too ya know.

I signed up for the 60 day trial a day or two before my iPhone came in and my account shows that my trial period was extended by 30 days to make it a 90 day trial, however when I go into the billing screen, it shows that my subscription will begin on the date that was the last day of the oroiginal 60 day subscription. If they bill the card that was provided at the time I signed up for the trial at that time that's fine. Except for being able to edit or create calendar events on the mobileme site, everything else is working fine. I just create those calendar events directly in Outlook or on the iPhone itself. Eventually Im sure Apple will work things out.

BTW, I too, am getting annoyed with the "college students" claiming how poor they are when they have half the products Apple makes listed in their profile. I too am on a budget, so just because they are a college student doesn't win any sympathy from me. I to want a MacBook as my next laptop but I don't see myself having one at least until after the Christmas holidays.

My mobileme account expires in 13 days and i emailed mobileme support over the weekend to ask when the extension will be applied.

I got a swift reply....

All it read was we cannot give you an exact answer as to when the free 30 day extension will be applied and then a link direting me to the mobileme FAQs!

I replied asking not for an exact date but a guarantee that i will receive the update before my current subscription runs out.

having been a .mac customer for a while now I am not fully satisfied with the current mobileme service and would like the free 30 days to fully test out the service, seeing as it hasnt woprked for me properly for the time it has been up.

I dont think that is too much to ask apple!

I know they dont NEED my money but perhaps i will think twice about renewing...

PS im not a college student but i know when i was at college i worked hard all summer saving for my MBP and when i spent all my earnings on it i was left with little cash to spare for a while to come!
