Where is my Macbook Pro?

I ordered a new Macbook Pro June 6 (the day after the new ones came out). Now, June 19, I still have no notice of where my Macbook might be. I got the 2.2 GHz with 160 GB hard drive (5400 rpm). It said that it should ship by Friday.

Well, Friday is drawing nearer and it still hasn't shipped. I know, I know. I'm impatient. Has anyone ordered the same thing and experiencing the same frustrations?

Apple, where is my Mac Pro? :(
 
Weird, I just ordered my MacBook yesterday and it says it will be arriving at my house tomorrow.

Maybe MacBook is different then MacBook Pro in the shipping....

MacBook Pro shipping is a lot different then MacBook shipping. On the Apple Store it says MacBook Pro ships in 5-7 business days. MacBook ships within 24 hours.
 
mine shipped today....

I ordered the exact same specs as you (2.2, 160gm 5400 rpm) on June 16 and it shipped today. I would definitely give apple a call to see whats up. (Maybe you can get it bumped up to expedited shipping for free once they figure whats going on:D )
 
that's really odd. I ordered mine on the 16th, it shipped on the 18th, and will arrive on the 21st, which is still before when yours will even ship.
I'd definitely give them a call and complain.
 
i ordered on the 23rd and it says it wont be shipped until the 2nd- 5th. i keep checking like every five minutes to see if it changes. but no ]: the dates given are way past 5-7 days like the website said.

Same case here.. It's been a fortnight since I placed my order for the 15-inch MBP 2.4GHz. I'm not sure if this has something to do with me ordering from a reseller on campus but I went back to the store today and ask if they could give me an estimated arrival date but they simply said, "we don't know, could be about 2-3 weeks?" :mad:

Also, I wonder if it's something to do with getting the glossy display option too.. :( I really need a new notebook urgently..

It is possible that the delay is due to the glossy screen option. However I was just looking at my order status on the Apple Website, (the Apple reseller in the area finally gave me the Web Order number) according to the Order Status information sheet my order was placed with Apple on the 12th of June. This is odd considering that I actually placed the order on June 5th with the Apple reseller and they indicated that the order was placed at noon on that day.

I wonder if some of the delays that some people are experiencing are the result of the order being taken by the store and not being processed that same day.

It Arrived!

Hey everyone. So, after almost three whole weeks of impatient wait, it has finally arrived. I ordered from an Apple reseller, and I have a feeling that Apple isn't placing them at the top of their priority list for some reason. Also, any type of BTO seems to be taking longer.

But I am so happy with mine! It was worth the wait!
 
maybe all of apples shipping personnel are busy shipping those damn iphones everywhere. and are putting the other products aside for now. the iphones ruining everything!
 
something is definatly up with the shipping. you should contact apple and try to contact customer complaints and try to track your order. it is deffinatly worth a try

I'm trying to purchase my first Mac and there are no 2.2 MBPs in stock in the Southern California area. Ive tried calling five stores and none have them in stock. Any scoop on when shipments come in?

Ive tried the stores below.

Irvine
Brea
Pasadena

They seem to be out everywhere and no Apple Store personnel have any idea when more are coming. They all say iPhone is taking priority.
 
I ordered my MBP stock 15" 2.4 on June 5th early in the morning right after the announcement. I should be getting it Friday the 29th. I have talked to Apple twice about the delays and all I could get was that they have thousands more orders than MBPs. It seems that they are shipping them as soon as they are made, but the orders keep piling on. I was told that it might be 4-6 weeks from when you order it to when you get it, and mine's gonna be almost 4 weeks in coming, so I think everyone is going to have to wait a while, or tell several hundred of your friends to cancel their order maybe. ;-)
 
I ordered a 2.2 160gb 5200rpm Glossy MBP on June 21st and it shipped today (June 27). Right now it's sitting in Shanghai China and I hope to have it before the 4th of July.

It is weird.
I've ordered on june 15th, got it june 26th. I have yellow tint problem :( It is 15inch 2.4 stock

If you can't wait, it is better to buy directly from Apple. It was good of you to support the little guy, though.
 
I ordered one the 18th of June, at a local store that could offer me some discount on the thing, just the stock version though. Emailed them, said they put a 45 piece backorder but don't know when it will be delivered to my doorstep :(

I hope very soon. My guess indeed is that there is either a lack of components or a problem in the machines (temp, displays) that is putting the production on hold for now.

Maybe a 'appleinsider' can help us out here? :)
