Hi!

I was trying to find the ‘Private Relay’ setting under iCloud+ in the settings of Public beta on my iPad M1, but it is not there. Search function finds it, but there is no actual setting in the section.

Is it not available in Europe maybe yet?

It disappears sometimes. I have that very often. Try restarting or closing settings

Go out of iCloud settings and back in. It sometimes magically pops up (iOS 15 pb 2)

PS. I feel that this should be a setting in Control Center. For certain websites I have to disable it to have a functional website.

Yeah it disappears for me too on iOS 15 (but not on iPadOS 15). It’s still an early software so I wouldn’t worry, Apple will likely correct this bug in the next beta version

Today it suddenly appeared in the settings and was automatically enabled (Got system notification).
First impressions:
- slower;
- my local paid media (TV) app does not work when the setting is on.

Fill that out in the feedback report. The more people that request a toggle like this the more likely it will happen. Just like a few Etsy sellers are actually getting their accounts shut down because when sellers are logging into their seller accounts on their ipads Etsy servers are seeing them log in at different locations and flagging the accounts as it thinks they are sharing accounts. So every time I go to Etsy I have to make sure Private Relay is disabled.

(Etsy uses a very aggressive automated system that auto bans accounts if it picks up unusual activity such as uses using VPN's or logging into with different IP addresses especially if they are not local to where the account was created from.)

I think that Safari setting is an addition that can work with Private relay, but some level of IP protection can also work without Private Relay, as explained in the text below that setting..

I still don’t have Private Relay setting in iCloud. It told me it was turned on a few days ago but now it’s gone.

Public beta.

Now after restarting it shows up again.
