I thought for sure once the iPad was released Apple would up their Remote app for the iPad, and now that the iPhone 4 is out with Retina display the app is even more lacking. In the Keynote Steve even said with just a little work from developers apps can looks great, yet Apple has not done this  An update is waaay past due at this point.

What about the Remote app looks bad on the Retina display? It's almost entirely native UI elements which are all high resolution already. Only apps that use their own custom graphics look crappy on the Retina display.

Now not updating Remote, iDisk, etc, for the iPad I agree is incredibly frustrating. I wish they'd get on it.

Also, the Remote app ought to support multitasking similar to Pandora so that you can use the built-in audio controls with it.

Apple has now updated the MobileMe apps so where is the Remote update?? I really cannot believe this is taking so long from them.
