Hi Forum,

I play a certain popular game that runs on java;) Now, i've installed the java 7 RE, and I still have the 1.6 that came with Apple (only the web plugin was removed with the recent update). I use an launcher for the game that can choose what RE it uses.
So, I have 2 questions.
1: where is the new java 7 installed after I downloaded it, so i can choose the RE.
and 2: how do I remove the RE 6?

Thank you!

Java 7 installs to /Library/Java/VirtualMachines. You don't remove Apple's 6.

Ok, I won't remove that folder. But the folder that you directed me too is empty...
Huh. I've only ever installed the JDK, which definitely installs there. The JRE, though, probably installs somewhere else. Maybe it's inside /Library/Internet Plug-ins?
