macOS Where is this ICNS located?

Hi.

I have a simple question. This .photoslibrary icon right here. Where can I find this icon/icns file?

I have searched the following:

• Extracted .CAR asset files from /System/Library/Frameworks/Photos*
• CoreTypes.bundle inside /System/Library/CoreServices
• Looked through Photos.app plist for their CFDocumentTypes (.photoslibrary is one of them) but no reference to icon.

Any pointers would be handy. Thanks.

Same place it always is. Inside the Application bundle's Resource folder listed as AppIcon.icns

By default
/System/Applications/Photos.app/Contents/Resources/AppIcon.icns

Sorry for my above posts, I am looked at your post with tired eyes and thought it was the App Icon not the library icon

I don't know where it is stored but I have a way of extracting one for you. Find a photo library like you clearly have in your original post and "Get Info" from the finder. Select the icon in the Get Info window and hit cmd+c to copy it. Open Preview and hit cmd+n to open a new Preview window with the icns file open. Save where you want it

I tried something similar earlier, Get Info ➝ Cmd + C ➝ and then pasting anywhere in a directory using Finder in hopes that it would paste the ICNS – but that didn't work. Pasting in Preview worked though!
