I wish there was an application similar to the Where I've Been and Cities I've Visited apps on Facebook. You could set it to only record cities you've been in after a certain amount of time passes, so you're not recording places you drive through or fly over. I can never remember the small towns I visit in my travels and often don't even know the name of the neighborhoods I'm in. This would be an awesome way to keep track of places I've gone to.

It would be cool but the problem would be that you would have to remember to run the app every time you want it to record a location.

True. Maybe future firmware upgrades will include an "always allow" feature for locate me. I know a lot of people get annoyed when it asks all the time.

What he is saying is that you'd have to physically launch the application everytime you want it to record your location, since apps can't run in the background.

I just take a screen capture of Google Maps & locate me.

I could definitely see the use for this app. It would make it onto my iPhone for sure.

Do you swim in the bay often? :)

I forgot about the not running in the background thing. That would be a bit of a pain. I still think it would be better than trying to figure out the name of every little town and subsection of a city I'm in. I travel a lot.
