How is the EU in the way of the film industry?

The :apple: TV is a redundant product with no movies or TV shows available to people in the EU. It really is a pointless piece of technology.

I think you'll find that the EU would like nothing more than all films and TV shows being made available to everyone, it's the studios that are dragging their heals. I'm sure Apple are working on it but it's complicated.

Exactly. The EU would love a unified market (and in the iTMS case, are actively going up against Apple to get it). It's the studios who want per-country licences (and prices!).
