There's ones for non-slot load drives, there's ones for the 9.5mm versions and dubious eBay listings for 9.5mm versions that claim to house 12.7mm drives if you cut the casing but they're clearly too slim in height to house one.

It's driving me mad.

I replaced the optical drive with an SSD in a caddy because I work with audio and need 2 internal drives and even though I hardly use the optical drive, it's providing less then ideal using the writer in my old Mac via ethernet and DVD sharing.

Does anyone know where a slot-load compatible, 12.7mm USB enclosure can be had in the UK or even from the US or Japan that's proven reliable and ships to the UK?
