Obviously, since Apple is no longer manufacturing and selling them, any iPod Touch devices available are going to be preowned. According to this Wikipedia article, Apple discontinued the iPod Touch line on May 10, 2022 -- that's surprisingly recently, in my view.

Do you know of reputable, non-eBay sites from which to purchase iPod Touch devices? Does anyone have any experience with any of the following sites?

Hi!

Last year I wanted to fulfill my childhood dream of having an iPod classic, so I bought one from Elite Obsolete with a new, replaced battery. I absolutely recommend using their website. The iPod works perfectly- I use it all the time and the new battery is great. I think you can trust them!

Several reputable eBay sellers have *new* iPod Touch 6 & 7s for sale!

I picked up a new IPT 6 — wanted to ensure compatibility my with current apps — on a great deal for only about $60. It was brand new, came in an original sealed box, with a battery count 0 or 1 (can’t remember which), and accessories in original wrap. It works like a charm.

I had held off getting one figuring that the batteries in old devices would have degraded and not hold charge that well. Hasn't been an issue — at all. For my normal light use, I can now go several days before having to charge it, where with my old IPT 6 it had to be charged daily, sometimes twice daily.

Note: This is without using WiFi, which rapidly depletes battery life on IPT 6s and 7s, no matter how new or old they or their batteries are. Still, my new one lasts longer on WiFi— runs down more slowly than my old one.

My old IPT 6 now has the star role of being a backup device — a stored on-the-shelf device ready if I were to lose, break, or something were wrong with my new one.
