I want to buy Apple Care for an iPhone 8 Plus online. However my iPhone when I go in the my Support webpage, it doesn't give me an option to get the coverage and I'm just going in circles. Is there an option to buy it online somewhere? It is my understanding you could buy at any time during the first year.

You need to contact Apple directly but they may not give you the option to buy Applecare+. In general, it needs to be added at the time you buy the phone but Apple may give you an exception after a diagnostic and an inspection at the Apple Store.

You’re only supposed to have 60 days from the purchase date, but you can plead your case to Apple.

You can buy it online. There is some page for it on Apple’s website.

Thanks I. Yeah that iPhone was bought in February. So it is not showing because it is passed the 60 days. I remember there were some news last year saying you could buy it up to a year after purchase date but it seems they reverted that.

Thanks everyone for your replies

The old Applecare plans (not Plus) I believe allowed that. But maybe just Macs, as I believe Plus has been the plans for iPhones for a few years now. Macs are now on Plus plans as well, so they too now are subject to 60 day purchase window.

Doesn't hurt to get into contact with Apple and ask them.

The limit is 60 days though, as mentioned prior. I have always purchased it using the online system; works swimmingly well.
