Knowing that the price point will remain the same (generally) no matter where you buy the iPad from, what online site offers the most "stuff" to entice folks to buy the iPad from them? Sort of like when you buy a macbook, get a free printer, etc....

thanks

Yeah, I don't think anyone does that with the iPad. If you buy and iPad, you get an iPad. The iPod/printer deal with the Macs was an apple thing, so unless apple offers a deal, it's unlikely that anyone else would.

No one does it yet. As soon as it starts selling in more stores (wal-mart, target) I might expect some "bundles" Walmart is usually really good for getting bundles.

They are pretty much selling every iPad they can make, so there's not much incentive to add "extras" to entice people to buy. Apple keeps trying to make more but it takes time to get more into production.

So, other than MacMall (which I've noticed makes you CALL into customer service to make the purchase), what other sites are good to buy the iPad, in an attempt to avoid sales tax?

MacConnection, unless you live in AL, IL, NC, NJ, NY or OH.

Any idea why both MacMall and Mac Connection have you CALL in to place the order, as opposed to doing it online?

No, but maybe you could start up an online chat with a representative and ask them?

If I had to guess, I'd say it's because the iPads are in short supply, and they want to give you a shipping estimate on the phone instead of on the Web, maybe because it takes longer than they want.
