I know iTunes is the most logical place to purchase music. However, I was told that the music you purchase on iTunes is is AAC format which does not allow you to copy to another format. I like to create MP3 collection on CDRs to listen in the car.

So, where else can you buy music that is high quality?

Can anyone give me any suggestions or anything to consider?

New to the world of MP3s!!

Thanks!

You can convert from ACC to Mp3 in iTunes itself just to do exactly what you need.

Go to Preferences -> general and click on Import Settings. Those works too when selecting a palylist in ACC to transfer to Mp3.
