Hey All,

Sorry, I searched but couldn't find any results for this. I am trying to find a programmer that I can talk to about developing two apps.

Does anyone know a resource where I can find someone to help and what their rates are?

Thanks,

Jeff

Hi crazylegsmurphy,

I've had to fix up several apps from people that went out and simply hired someone they met through a forum.

Rentacoder is often a disaster for programming projects beyond simple web scripts. If you are going to go the internet route, I would suggest Odesk, as it provides you with the capability to see if those you hire are really working.

I would suggest looking to see if there's a developer group in your area, you can do this by going to:

http://groups.google.com
http://meetup.com

looking for development groups and asking for a developer. This way you can find someone local who you can actually meet in person. It sounds like the lowest price may be important to you, so you might try asking if there's any students or someone looking to bulk up their portfolio. Some Colleges have boards created for, or sometimes by computer science majors you may want to mention your project on one of those nearest you if it exists.

Hey,

Thanks for the advice.

Ya, I'm not having any luck finding someone reliable or has ANY skills. It would be nice to find someone local (or at least in the same country as I am).

I'll try meetup now and see if I have anymore luck.

Thanks,

Jeff

I was doing that when you posted :D

I can't seem to find anyone local....hmmm, I'll have to keep looking. ;)
