Hey. I've used Photoshop, and CS2, but I want to download the CS3 Extended Trial, for Mac, to see if I want to get it for the Mac. Only problem is, I can't find the download .dmg anywhere. Adobe isn't giving out trials until July, and I can't find any other sites that have it. If anyone has it, or a site that has it, can they PM me it?

Thanks!

Every site that I've come across that has the demo download always links you to Adobe's page, so you might be out of luck until July.

I thought so to, but after going through like 100 sites, I finally found one.

Unfortunately, I had to close out firefox before I could install CS3, and lost the site. I still have the file, which I will try to upload to either megaupload/rapidshare, but I think it is to big of a file, if I get it to work, I'll PM you the link.

Don't bother - if you had read the Adobe site, and the reason they pulled the trial downloads, you would see that whatever you install and start will expire in ONE day. Here's the link, and a blurb from Adobe.

During the month of June 2008, certain product trials that are launched for the first time (regardless of when they were installed) will function for only one day instead of 30 days, due to an error in a line of code that counts down the remaining days in a trial. You will not experience this issue if you have launched your trial before June 1, 2008, or do not launch it until July 1 or thereafter.
We understand that trials are an important tool to experience the new features of a product. However, this issue would have resulted in a frustrating situation for a large number of customers — an experience that just does not meet the high standards we have set for all of our products and solutions. We invite you to explore the other resources available on Adobe.com in order to experience the products in action.

So if you want to try it for one day, and one day only, then go ahead. Be warned that you can NOT download and install the trial again later, due to the way Adobe installs the trial software.

I installed a trial affected by this issue in June. Can I install another version of the same trial in July?

Unfortunately, no. To prevent unrestricted use of trial versions, they can be installed only once on a machine.

Go read the FAQ's at Abobe before you proceed.

It's called the HISTORY BUTTON!

Amazing eh?

Uhh. Yea. My history clears every time I close FireFox. PLUS, even if it didn't I wouldn't feel like searching through every page, because they all say basically the same thing. "Mac Photoshop CS3 Trial Download" or something like that.

actually if you had looked around the page a little, you would have seen the big fat link for the patch to fix this problem, enabling trials for 65 days.

Anyone actually have a link to the trials?

Good find. It looks like Adobe has re-opened the trial downloads and they are available now. There is also a link on the trial download page to get the fixup and good instructions on how to use it. It makes it good for 65 days from what I read through quickly. Here is Adobe's note.

Download and install the repair tool.
The repair tool will extend the trial period to 65 days on any or all of the trials listed below, no matter when you got the trial, as long as you first ran the trial in June.

Note: For any trials that you have run for the first time in June, the repair tool will change the trial to 65 days. If you haven't run the trial ever, then the repair tool will not fix it.
