I am a new Mac user and did a search here but could not find the answer.

I have Bootcamp installed and have installed WinXP into a bootable partition on my iMac. I have also installed Fusion and have "installed' the BootCamp WinXP image into it. Both instances of WinXP work fine.

As I come to move files from my old WinXP system to the iMac WinXP environment, I'm a little confused as to where I should move those files to in order that both my BootCamp and Fusion instances of winXP can see them. Should I move them to my WinXP partition (and do I need to boot into Windows to do that?- and will my Fusion instance of XP still see them?); or should I move files to my main partition?

I also have a Belkin Switch-to-Mac cable, but I believe that this is more for using Windws files in a Mac environment, rather than WinXP on a Mac.

The WinXP partition is formatted in FAT32.

Thanks for any advice,

Bruce.

You should be able to move the files either on the Boot Camp partition or through Fusion and not have any problems between the two. It's the same directory, but shared between two different portals (Fusion and Boot Camp).

Thanks snowleopard,

And should I activate WinXP on the BootCamp partition, the Fusion portal, or it doesn't matter? I would imagine on the BootCamp partition, but I do see references on the web to issues if done incorrectly. ?

Thanks, Bruce.
