I live in Las Vegas, Nevada where is it you all would recommend to take in for a diagnoses- nothing is wrong with hardware wise to the best of my knowledge. But I would like for them to run tests and go thhrough a clean sweep! Thank you so much in advanced!

I really want my 16" back & running how it was, with apple stores closed down it has made for difficulties in getting that result,

I am not sure that there is anything wrong with it, however I would like either apple or a facility they approve to run tests to make sure it is at 100%. I would also like to get any possible viruses I may have scanned and removed.

Thank you & please let me know!

First, there are no viruses in the wild that can infect your Mac. If you mean malware, you can do that yourself with this free app:

As for running diagnostics, unless something is wrong that can be detected by Apple, they are not going to make an appointment for you. And with the Apple Stores closed, even if they do make an appointment, they'll likely make it with the Geek Squad at your local Best Buy store, which there are plenty in Vegas. Like it or not, Best Buy is an Authorized Apple Service Center and Apple is directing folks there to get repairs under warranty or otherwise.

My advice: If your Mac isn't broken, don't mess with it as that can lead to other problems and make matters worse.

I'm in LV too. I've used this company and was pleased with their service (no affiliation).

So, is it running differently to how it was or is there nothing wrong with it?

There’s no need to test for issues that aren’t there. There aren’t any viruses for Mac and any malware you may have inadvertently installed (highly, highly unlikely) can be removed pretty easily with free software.

OP:

If you're worried about malware...
Download MalwareBytes and run it:

IMPORTANT:
Select the "home" option.
It's a FREE download

IMPORTANT:
You DO NOT NEED TO BUY A SUBSCRIPTION to run MalwareBytes.
It will run FOREVER IN FREE MODE.

When you open it, IGNORE the button to "Upgrade Now" or "Activate License".
Just click "Scan".
Again, you DO NOT have to buy the pay-for version!
