i recently received a free iMac G3 400mhz/390RAM/10GB HD....that's really all i know about it. I don't know much about computers in the first place and was wondering if Apple stores or Reseller stores will upgrade for you. I have no knowledge or experience in the matter. I just want a bigger harddrive with more ram and a dvd rom maybe.....anyone know of a place that will do this or should i just learn to do it myself?

if that's the case, anyone know of a good guide that says what i will need and how to do it?

thanks!

There's a place just down the road from me who do a great job for this sort of thing. I dunno where you live, but I assume it's close to me. Nevertheless, most Mac support stores should be able to upgrade those components for you. Apple has a guide on how to upgrade the RAM, too. The RAM upgrade is quite a bit easier than the hard drive and a lot easier than the optical drive, so tell us what you think of the process.
