Hello, wheres a good place to buy the cheapest apple airport express to be shipped overseas to new zealand??

IIRC the Airport express is the one that plugs right into your wall right?

You'd be better off buying from your local store (if you really need the iTunes streaming feature) or just buy a plain jane router (if you don't).

Getting elsewhere may have other complications, such as voltage not matching, the plug not fitting.. and of course, no warranty coverage from Apple NZ.

Oh ok, yep its the one that plugs into the wall.

I currently have a bose sound dock... which ONLY can listen music from my ipod. i guess i wont be using the streaming music service

but

its so small and compact and, i may be able to plug an external hard disk into the airport right?

Just curious why are you thinking of getting it from overseas? Aren't there Apple stores in NZ?

its alwys cheaper buying elsewhere...

the blakbook costs NZ$3299 go convert that to USD and see how much extra we are paying for our apple products

Hmm.. that's 10% more expensive than Australian pricing, and our pricing is already like 10% more than the Americans!

But don't forget, if you get from US dealers you have to pay sales tax as well. Either way you may want to look at setting up an account with myus.com (not affliated, but happy customer!)

Nope... well, you can plug it in but it won't do anything. ;)

The USB port on the Airport Express/Extreme is only there to plug printers in and do wireless printing. Other USB devices will just sit there acting deaf and dumb.

Exactly. If you do the price conversion and take into account the fact that tax is included in your prices and not in US prices (although their taxes are lower than yours, but that's not Apple's fault), and you'll find that Apple is only ripping you off a little bit. :p

haha true. ripping off is still ripping off - $1, $10, $1000 etc
