Where's Apple's response to Adobe Flash announcement?

So, it has been a couple of days now since Adobe has announced that flash is coming to all mobile phones except the iPhone. Where is Apple's response? They need to step up and tell us why us iPhone users are again being left behind (just like MMS, tethering, AVRCP, recording video (prior to the 3GS)). Adobe's announcement clearly states that Apple won't work with them on the flash development.

I don't want to hear the BS about flash is on the way out, it's too demanding on the hardware, or Steve Jobs wanting flash to be "just right". All of that is total speculation and people are actually taking it as if those words came directly out of Jobs mouth via a pubic announcement. However, that is what I want and I think we all deserve. We all need to bombard Apple and demand an explanation.

First, speculation makes sense, otherwise it wouldn't be speculated.
Second, flash IS dying, any developer will tell you that.
 
just another want!

yeah it seems like a big deal but honestly not much I can't access pr get to with out flash. most sites have a flash friendly options. I think flash is like MMS everybody thought they had to have it now most hardly use it. I rather have apple finely allow programs to run in the background and files like categories allow themes etc then I wouldn't need to JB! flash pass :rolleyes:

I know AS3, and when I'm developing, CSS is not only easier, but much faster to load, execute, and display animations.
 
Let me give you Apple's stance:

"If you don't like it, we're sorry. You are more than welcome to use another phone as we are not forcing you to use ours. Oh, you're not leaving for another phone? That's what we thought."
 
So, we're not blaming this on AT&T for once?! :)

I'd like us to have the option to use flash. But I doubt we will, since there are so many Apple users against it. I also develop in flash and don't really see why flash is so hated by the iPhone community, but what can you do? /shrug

Why do they have to tell you anything after Adobe's announcement. Apple has said all along that they will not implement flash capability in the iPhone / touch. If flash is a requirement for you, don't get an iPhone / touch but instead get one of the many devices that do support flash. Apple is a business and doesn't owe you an explanation just as you as a customer don't need to buy any product you don't like.
 
it's pretty ****ing annoying that the most "advanced" phone in the world can't display most of the websites I visit properly.

These devs need to ****, grow up, and get flash on the iphone. I don't care
if Adobe or Apple are to blame--its not getting done and the one who gets screwed is the customer wanting to have access to his favorite sites while he's not at home. He gets charged on average $2000+ over the 2 year period he's required to keep the phone, as well. ********.

btw, anyone who says "go get another phone" is a tool. A coorporation's tool.
While these companies make billions providing us with inferior products, you choose to side with them and use their lame excuses for why they can't get a program like flash on a mobile device. You're unpaid shills.

Huh??? That statement makes no sense. Speculation in this sense is the consideration of a subject. That subject does not need to make sense. I hope your CSS programming does not have that circular logic.
 
Sometimes the only way to move technology along is to stop using and supporting inferior technology. If computer manufactures still put 3.5" floppy in computers all the numb nuts would still be running around with handfuls of disks instead of flash drives.

Flash is a pig, and unstable, better options exist.

That's one way to look at it. Another would be that you bought a phone with full knowledge that it did not have Flash and now you're bitching because you don't have it.

I don't care if flash is "dying", its still here and alive right now, and will be for the foreseeable future.

So yes I would like the iPhone to display flash. Just because you don't want it, which is fine, but that doesn't mean there are others that think like you. I'm sure if it was implemented you would be able to turn it off, so its your choice.
 
Apple not incorporating flash is just silly. Alm ost as silly as the iPhone exclusivity on Att. Almost.

Yeah exactly. Apple was first in not including floppy drive.

In this case, Apple was first in not including flash and instead included HTML5.
