I didn't want to reinstall the entire system, so I upgraded from Mavericks all the way to Public Beta 6 today. And the drop shadow of dark menu bar has been missing since Public Beta 3.

I kinda like dark menu bar with its drop shadow. Anyone having the same issue?

I'm not having the 'issue' but only because I do not use Dark mode.
You are correct though, with Dark mode on, the menubar shadow disappears.
Yosemite PB6.

I thought it was on purpose. I guess it should have it since the dropdown menus have shadows.

Agree. And the notification sidebar has shadow, too. And there IS drop shadow in Apple's keynote demo of Yosemite dark mode.

Perhaps we could only find out whether it's a bug or just "on purpose" at the debut later this week?

Still no luck in the final release. WHERE IS THE SHADOW? :(

IMHO the shadow looks fine with the white menubar, but when added to the black one it makes it blurry because they're the same color.

True. But it's still odd that there IS shadow for drop down menus and notification sidebar. Just no shadow for menu bar.

Tried sending feedback to Apple and wouldn't hope for any good news.
