it's tuesday... come on, this money is burning in my pocket!!!
any more rumors?
it's sad really... cause i'm looking to buy the mbp just for the 15" screen... but if this new macbook is something interesting i might change my mind...

any 15" mbp users not really happy with the bigger screen? (for the price, i mean).

I would have expected the Apple Store to be down by about now if a new MacBook were coming today. I think that the chances are increasingly slim for a launch today.
 
everything has been pointing at tuesday the 6th, that would be next week

the front page says "as early as tuesday" meaning it could also be later

MacBook and MacBook Pro's are two different games man. I've got a 15' MBP and then just a normal MacBook I use for work. I love having the bigger screen. And the MBP just looks sexier. Plus, the graphics kick some butt...can't say much for the MB graphics :p

It really depends on what you are wanting to do with it. If you are just using word processing and internet browsing you really only need the MacBook...save some cash!



Funny just sold my MBP, went back to a macbook, the screen is not for me :(

it's for my beautiful and beloved wife... she doesn't need a pro... but i might use it from time to time and while the macbook is smaller, easier to carry, etc... i hate that dinky screen. the most she will ever do is spreadsheets and powerpoint... i'm an editor... if i could build a laptop it would look more like a coffee table... lol.
 
Yeah it's more than likely going to be Nov 6th. The Back-to-school deal is still going on today over in UK/Ireland. Tomorrow would be more likely just for that reason. But hey, look at it this way. Apple has given us a gift not releasing it today. The gift you ask? What is it? Why it's 7 MORE DAYS OF GLORIOUS RUMOR SPECULATION and LED BACKLIT SCREENS AND ALUMINUM CASES IN A RAINBOW OF COLORS AND MULTI-TOUCH TOUCHPADS AND DEDICATED GPU'S OH MY!!!!

Keep the rumors flowing like honey... we have 7 days to pass here people!

yeah... well, i don't think apple will let the macbooks get ahead of their aluminum pros... santarosa and lcd backlit panels is all we could hope for... maybe bigger harddrives... and some new colours?

haha yeah i completely agree... i was simply going through all of the rumors that have been flying around. Pretty much everything I said is unlikely.

Last time I checked a DUAL CORE processor can do a hell of a lot more then just web browse and word process.....

I really want a slightly smaller MBP. I have to disagree about the sexiness of the MBP; I think the Blackbook is supremely sexy. My dream computer is a 13-14" Black Macbook Pro....*drool*;)
 
Oh SNAP!
I am typing from my spanking new MBP! 15inches and bright and beautiful. this is a fast elegant machine....
But now I am trying to import my old mailboxes, restore my address book etc etc so forth...
so I will check in again after I do that then install leopard..
