I bought Tropico 3 from the App Store and I really enjoy playing it, but haven't had time the past month or so.

I'm on vacation this week and to keep me from doing everything else I'm supposed to be doing I'm thinking of doing a clean install of Mavericks (yeah yeah, I know it's not necessary). Anyway, all my other data I'm going to do a double back up but I don't know where to get the game data from Tropico 3. I'm looked around in Library and a few other folders and nothing seems like it would be it.

I've checked online but all I was able to find was Windows folders. Can anyone help??

I don't have the App Store version but it's probably in the user/library/Containers folder.

I cannot find a Containers folder nor do I have that a Library folder under users, or my name.

Do you mean in the actual game container?

The user library folder is hidden in lion and above by default. Option-click the Go menu, and then select library. You should see a containers folder there.

Thanks! There's a lot of folders in there but unfortunately not any that link to that game. I didn't open any of them but didn't see one that had Ferrel or Tropico or anything else that sounded familiar. :(

That's it!! Thanks.

All game data is stored in the application.

All user saves etc is stored in the preferences folder.

You can access the preferences folder by using the button called "Open Preferences Folder" on the pre-game options panel.
