Am I totally missing it or did the News app not make it into beta 1? It seemed to be working pretty great during the demo.

Apple is a master at making things seem "perfect" while giving an on stage demo of their latest features.

Haven't downloaded the iOS 9 so I can't be of help, but when I did download iOS 7 beta 1 2 years, the performance and stability was far from what was shown on stage at that year's WWDC.

So just be mindful about app performance and stability as what you experience might greatly vary as to what was shown on stage today.

Since it pulls content from other sources.
There are probably software and backend links that aren't ready to roll out yet. Either from Apple, or their content partners.

Came to post about this too, I was kinda looking forward to the news app too. It's okay though, patience is key I guess haha

Just updated to iOS 9 and stumbled upon this post while looking for the News app as well. No release info given for this one yet?
