There used to be a handy button on the bottom (side in my case) menu bar for all the installed apps. It's gone in Monterey ! PLUS there's no top line key on the new MacBook Pro keyboard for it either! How can I get it back on the screen ?

Thanks

It's called LaunchPad, and it's actually just an app. Open Finder and go to your Applications folder. Find "LaunchPad" and simply drag it to the Dock. You can also pinch in with 4 or 5 fingers on the Trackpad to trigger LaunchPad.

Brilliant, thanks. Must have forgotten the name as it's been a long time since I would have needed to use it.
