From slowest/oldest to fastest/newest?

ATA-6? IDE Ultra ATA100? Serial ATA150?

thanks

I have an older powerbook, pre-SATA, but am a little confused with the ATA-6 and IDE Ultra-100 labels. I know SATA is not backwards compatable, but what about the other 2 interfaces?

ATA-6 and UltraATA/100 are the same thing...transfer speed is 100 MB/sec. (ATA-7 or UltraATA/133 goes to 133 MB/sec.)

SATA150 is newer and has a transfer speed of 150 MB/sec, with SATA II going to 300 MB/sec. SATA also offers a number of other advantages, from thinner and longer cable lengths to lower power requirements.
