As I can't afford an apple cinema display, I have been looking at budget 27" displays however most of what I am seeing, are only 1920x1080 max res. I notice on most good 24" screens the res goes upto at least 1920x1200. Being on a budget, am I going to have to settle for 1080p ?

Or would be better to consider a 24" instead ? Although I would really prefer a 27".

Can anyone help with my decision ? Ultimately I will be wanting dual screens and will be buying two, so price would be an issue. Is 1080p enough for desktop use on my mac mini?

Thanks
Raymond

Thanks for the advice, I've been looking at Dell IPS screens and think I'm going to go with the Ultrasharp U2412M which is within my budget and if I am happy with this screen, I may decide to buy another for dual screens.

I notice it mentions on the Dell specs, that there is a Display Port ? I assume this isn't the same as Apple's Mini Display Port ? It comes with dual DVI ports and an HDMI.

If I was to run a dual screen setup on the current mac mini, would I connect the primary display from DVI to Mini Display port on the mini? and would I be able to run the second display from HDMI ? does HDMI display higher than 1080p ?
