Do any of the 60W power adapters work with the MBA 13" MC503LL/A?

I bought 2 from Ebay (Originals) and neither has worked.

Any magsafe charger equal or greater than 45W should work fine. I've used several different ones.

The MBA will work with any 60W, 85W or 45W adapter. It just pulls the energy it needs from the adapter (that's how the Apple Cinema Display powers any Apple laptop - it has an 85W adapter built in.)

OP, if your 60W adapters don't work with the MBA, do they work with the MB? MBP? I've got 60W adapters at home that work fine with my MBA.

I've heard from co-workers that the older MB AC adapters with the square connector (not the newer barrel connector) only work sometimes. I don't know why one wouldn't. I don't have one to try. All my 85W MBP adapters work with it regardless of the connector.

Cheers,

I have one with the older connector and it works fine. I was using it today.

I thought any would work ....so I returned both units to the seller for a refund.

Bought a clone 45w.

Unless the units are actually defective there's no reason any existing Magsafe (past or present) shouldn't work with the MBA. However, the old "T" style connectors do not stick unless there's sufficient clearance under the machine to accomodate the extra cable.

if you use MBA 45W old connector and buy 60W new "L" connector, you'd better upgrade firmware, i remember Apple website supply that for download
