Any suggestions on which airline flight status tracker I should get? I can't seem to find any reviews comparing them against each other. Their prices vary yet they all seem pretty similar.

All you need to know is.

Flight Track or Flight Track Pro...depends on how much features you need.

I have read a review that compared several of them, but I haven't been able to resurrect it. My favorite for now is FlightTrack. I also have and use Flight Tracker, but it has not gained my full confidence for accurate reporting, which is a real problem for an application like this.

Okay, so which one looks the best and does the most?

For the iPhone, or general web-based access? For the iPhone, open iTunes, go to the App Store, and do a search on "flight tracker." Otherwise, just Google it, there's lots of providers recombining the same info dozens of ways.

Dude if the thread is about iPhone apps, why would I ask about anything else.....I wouldn't!

I already did the search prior to starting this thread. I am asking how many other flight tracking apps are there? If all you are going to do is tell me to search then don't respond!

I searched the App Store in two ways. First for "flight information." Then for 'flight tracing" In total, it looks like there are about 10 applications for the iPhone that give flight status. There may be others also. The App Store search function is not up to par (to say the least).

I also don't think it is true that all of these are querying the same database. As I said in my post earlier in this thread, Flight Tracker by SplashData has proven unreliable. FlightTrack has been better. I've compared both against the airline web sites during trips to see. I don't have any opinions about the others, because I haven't used them.

There are a couple of the more expensive ones that will also access your TripIt information, if you use that. (TripIt is awesome.)

TravelTracker, which has quite a few more features than FlightTrack Pro, is on sale as of today for $9.99, the same price as FlightTrack Pro. I haven't used either, but they look worthwhile for frequent travelers.

Edit: I just bought TravelTracker while it's on sale. Looks good so far, and it easily accessed my TripIt records and brought them into the iPhone. Nice.

Anyone use Flight Update Pro?

I am trying to find a flight tracking program to determine 'real time' delays, gate information, and searches > 3 days.

I would like one to incorporate Airport Guides, also, for possible layovers.

I just went through this a couple days ago, and was disappointed with all the paid apps to provide such basic functionality. I then "rediscovered' an app I already had that provides flight tracking: Travelocity. And it's free.

Just go to mobile.flightview.com in Safari and then save that link to your Home Screen. It is just as good as an app and any app has to access the internet to get the data anyway.

A Personal Assistant Premium by Pageonce Inc.

I use A Personal Assistant Premium by Pageonce Inc.. Haven't used the Real-Time Flight Status feature though.

I use Flight Tracker Pro. I recently used it on a flight from Los Angeles to Orlando. I used it with the WiFi onboard of AirTran to see in real time and using Google Maps where my flight was. It also informed me of my connection delay in Atlanta... Overall, I highly recommend it!

This IS perfect, didn't even need to buy an app... THANKS!!!
