I know Myst takes a boat load of memory to download and
play.

I've recently downloaded a Japanese app called, "The Gift".
It took an amazing 20 minutes to download!

What are the apps you've stumbled upon that takes up tons
of juice?

Straight out of the app store, without downloading additional content. I think sygic north America takes it at 1.7 GB

The other app that puts most of Wikipedia on your iPhone is Encyclopedia (by Steam Heavy Industries), and it uses a lot less space. Just over 2 gigs. The drawback is it requires a lot more scrolling, Tiniwiki can jump to sections of an article.

Tiniwiki - Most of Wikipedia on your iPhone, over 6 GB.

I tried to download this turkey but gave up after six hours on a fast cable connection, interrupted by time outs. I paused the download but when I connected the phone again it wouldn't back up for an hour. I ditched Tiniwiki, and now everything seems OK. Perhaps I'll try another download in a few months in the hope that they may clean up their act. Right now they seem to have a compatibility problem either with System 3.0 or the 3Gs iphone.

I found that the game Kroll can really suck the life out of your iPhone's battery. I like under an hour or so from when I've played it!

So I'm guessing your able to access this offline as well right? Cause that's a pretty ridiculous file size.

You can access this if you're able to download it—I mean Wikipedia, of course, not the app—Has anyone here actually done this? As I said, I gave up after about six hours.

I downloaded Tiniwiki, but didn't bother trying to download the cache when I saw it was 6 gbs (they should put that in their app description). I have Wikipedia which is just 2 gbs.

Well, the one i have found to take up the most memory is VNC, when i view my desktop from it, it tends to take a little more than i have, gotta turn off my third monitor to get it to come up on the phone...

Most space will be a GPS app i imagine, or that wiki thing.
