Hello,
Normally when starting at 100% battery at 7am, I’m down to 40% by noon, but that’s mainly because I’ll watch about 2 hours worth of YouTube videos and occasional browsing within FaceBook app and InstaGram.
I recently went to Disneyland, woke up at 7am, places low power mode on my iPhone, arrived at 9am and didn’t use my phone at all throughout my time at the theme park except for the occasional photograph and by the time it was 5pm my iPhone was at 99%!
I could not believe it. Obviously not using my phone saved power but I’ve had nights where my I forget to plug in my phone at 10pm and by 7am the next morning the battery has gone down 10 percent. Obviously it’s checking for email and what not but this ‘low power mode’ combined with minimal phone usage is incredible.
I have deleted the FaceBook app, InstaGram app and YouTube app in hopes to see just how long my battery will last without my using these intensive apps.
I have a ton of apps on my phone with this 256gb just in case I ever need something such as ‘GasBuddy’ or the Taco Bell app but I hardly open them. I’m wondering how you go about having full day battery cause it’s obvious that FaceBook drains the battery since it’s always asking or pinging for information even in the background. I understand YouTube sucks battery away but that’s only cause I know I have an addiction to binge watching clickbait videos.
With these 3 apps gone my phone now I’m excited to see what happens. I’ll have to come back here to post the results.
