Hello, I ordered AirPods Max Space Grey yesterday and was told that they weren't available and will ship in 3 weeks, they offered me a Silver version which was available, but I refused. I thought about it and looked at some pictures and they started to grow on me, they look premium and clean while the Space Grey look, well, boring, like those cheap looking headphones (Sony, Bose), but still good. I'm a male, should I pick the Silver color or is it for women? So to the main question, which color looks best on me? I took some pictures of Apple Watches which have the same color as the AirPods Maxes. Thanks!

Are you serious?

They're headphones, not gender- and/or sexuality-indicators. Pick whatever color speaks to you.

Personally I ordered "black", just as I always do; and because then it matches 99% of all my clothes.

I think the green is ugly, the blue just didn't match anything in my life; and pink I considered just for the fun of it, but in the end this Apple pink just isn't that fun ott clashing pink that would make it worth it. White got ruled out hard because I could already feel myself getting annoyed by stains, miscolorings, and whatever the sun might do to the material.

I appreciate the input, I'll keep on waiting for the Space Grey headphones.

The space grey isn’t really grey in my opinion. It’s more of a graphite. And it does seem to look different under different lighting conditions. It’s got a sheen to it that makes it look premium even though it’s a ‘boring’ colour. The black headband is stress free from a staining point of view.

The only negative I can think of with the black headband is if one has black hair like I do, then the headband blends in with the head, and the cans seem suspended on the sides, giving off a Princess Leia look, lol.

The silver looks the same under all lighting conditions. But the silver and white is definitely classic Apple. It is not a gendered colour at all. If you can deal with the potential staining issues with the white headband, the silver is a great choice too. Apple does a consistent shade of silver, so if you’ve got other silver Apple devices and want to colour match, there’s that.

What’s the colour got to do with your wrist lol, what’s the cable doing on the white watch? Anyway a real man would only get SG ?

A real man isn't scared of what other men might think about his choice of color.

The white cable is the alarm thingie because he's trying them on at a store.

And every man should know that any color coordination starts at your complexion.

Yeah it’s very much like the Graphite SS watch. It looks classy and changes colour with the light. Sometimes it’s a dark grey and sometimes a silvery type grey plus as you say, the dark headband is easier to maintain and keep clean. it matches my graphite watch, space grey iPad and MacBook very nicely.
Blue and silver both look good especially the blue with the dark blue headband. There are reports in YouTube of the white mesh on the silver getting marked up can’t be cleaned off
