I went space grey as its my favourite, this time I wanted a change but wasn’t keen on the other colours . I definitely would have got blue or silver if available.

I went with space gray. I would have picked silver if they had it. I'm not sure about starlight as to me it's something I'd have to see in person, or at least in reviewer photos/videos, rather than just going by Apple's professional marketing shots.

I ordered the starlight but the purple looks good especially with the matching cover

Space grey to match my iPad Pro, I thought the others looked a bit washed out. I’d love one in a more saturated colour like the Apple watches have, a blue like my Watch 6 would have been perfect.

Originally I was going to get silver if it was available but ordered purple since it’s my favorite color.

Silver was my initial desire as it would match the iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPad Pro. However, with silver not available I opted to what would have been my second choice ~ Grey. That means I will change my iPhone from silver to grey to match…. Yes I am into colour coordination lol.

Someone posted the colour of the dark cherry iPhone case on twitter and it looks exactly aubergine like the one from 2 years back. If thats so its a good match for the purple mini.

also when Tim Cook held it up in iJustines interview video it looked awesome.

Dark Grey. This is my first Apple product since iPad 3, so I wanted that darker hue. Seen it on my friend's Apple stuff and I love it.

I don't like my Space Gray notebook because it doesn't look dark enough. It's just meh. Starlight seems fun in a retro way.

Purple with Purple folio was my second choice. Very tempting.

Was planning on ordering the silver since I really want to match it with a white folio. Since that's not an option, I went with starlight first but the more I saw it, the more I questioned my choice as I do not like beige/champagne. So I cancelled and ordered the purple instead...should still match well with the white folio. Pink is never an option as it doesn't suit me...too girly lol

Chose Starlight but it was a bit random. Space Gray was boring and pink was out for me so it was split between purple and starlight. Coin toss.

Starlight with Electric Orange folio. Almost chose Purple but Starlight will be easier to match with other folio colours if I feel like a change.

Can’t order yet (had budgeted for an October release) but currently leaning towards purple. It’s either that or pink, but I’m now thinking it looks less pink in the images we have than the Rose Gold Air.

Starlight because it feels fresh. Haven't decided on whether to get the smart folio -- if I do, it would be black. Orange is my favorite color, but my be too electric.

I would have gone for blue or green, especially the ones from the iPad Air 4, but they didn't offer those, so I went with Space Grey to match my 12.9 iPad Pro (2020).

I folded last night and ordered the 64 Gb Space Grey to replace my Mini 5 (trading in). It wasn't really necessary but I DO like the form factor. I mainly just use it to read downloaded books and such, so don't really feel a need for the cellular version or higher capacity. It is simply a "want". The $225 trade-in offer for my 5 helps...
