Do you like Kindle app or Ibooks. I have at least 8 books on Kindle app; but since I did a full transfer to APPLE via Ipad and now Iphone I was wondering is Ibooks (Books) better than kindle App. I am being honest here because It would be nice to take notes but I can't find any new or recent videos comparing the two against each other. I am also not wanting any comparison to Kindle devices just the app in IOS

I’ve been having a lot of issues with both recently. The Kindle app stopped saving progress and Books stopped syncing cover art from Catalina. This is with side loaded books. If I was using it with only purchased books I’d prefer the Kindle app.

I started with Kindle app back when I was an Android user, and kept on using it when I switched to an iPhone. But then I gave iBooks a try and liked it. I think when it became Apple Books I did an experiment: I bought the same book for Kindle and for Apple Books and compared them, on my iMac and my iPhone. I decided I liked Apple Books better. I still have the Kindle app for books I haven't read yet, but only buy new books for Apple Books. I've since gotten an iPad Pro and reading Apple Books on that is great.

One of things about the Kindle app is the ability to select different font size and paper color!

And you make a Kindle account so when buy a book and have more than one device it stays in the cloud and across all your devices. So you do not have to buy the same book many times.

I've had various problems with the Kindle app: It forgets book cover art and it forgets which books I purchased in the past. Some books that are no longer offered by Kindle have been removed from my library which is not acceptable to me. And, the Kindle app on my iPad does not sync properly with the one on my Mac.

I haven't tried iBooks but suspect that the same problems may exist there.

The Apple Books app does all those things too.
