Bulk of the latter doesn't matter to me.
Sonnet's led letter s looks nice, but the box will be out of sight.

How does these PSU's compare to each other?
CoreX has Lite-on PS-86512.
What kind of fan it has?
And what kind of PSU Sonnet550W has?

Any other factors between these?

Why are your choices between those two?

Personally I went with a akitio node because of the price I had no complaints
Then when I needed a high end nvidia house I went with the aorus gaming box and that was primarily because at the time GPU prices were crazy due to crypto mining but aorus was relatively unaffected by the inflation.

I have no complaints between either
The only thing I’d say about the Aorus Is its small so if you plan on upgrading the egpu later on you will need to use mini versions of cards or DIY your own expanded chassis

I'm aiming to bye a cheap one. Was buying Akitio Node, but amazon.de raised its price.
It has sfx PSU and 375W for gpu.
Razer has full ATX PSU & 500W.
Sonnet's price has gone a bit down, so it is an option also.
It has sfx PSU and 550W price is now <300€ exVAT.
https://egpu.io/external-gpu-buyers-guide-2018/

Since there are little other differencies between these 3, I'm trying to make the decision on which has the best PSU.
Biggest and quietest fans, etc. Very little info on these...
Razer's PSU is made by Lite-On, which isn't very top rated brand...

For mantiz, you may check egpu.io
I had 550w version of Sonnet before and it was good. It supports also gpus with liquid cooler. Keep in mind, using other ports and peripherals on the enclosure may decrease your Egpu performance since they’ll share the same bandwidth.

Sadly, I chose hp omen.
And it doesn’t work with tb1/2.
At least with 2m/6ft cable.
Now it’s a dead box, waiting to be resurrected by a new mac mini.
Could be a long wait...

Some people got it to work.
I would look more in egpu.io and experiment.

A quote from punk.kaos
"I know it *CAN* work with the TB2 to TB3 adapter, I have an Omen Accelerator plugged into a Macbook Air right now via the TB2 adapter. I have noted that it won't BOOT that way, I have to leave it unplugged and plug it in once the Apple logo shows. "

I found that with 2min search, looks like it may be related to additional power draw due to the says and other non GPU I/o that the adapter isn't Expecting

Good luck
